You know that feeling when you go to a gallery or a museum and you see a killer piece that you just have to have but cost's the equivalent of a year’s wage?
Well fret no more. Cerealart is a new company conceptualized to design, develop, manufacture and distribute a range of aesthetically pleasing affordable artists designs that will quench your thirst for artistic flair but not break the bank!
Blurring the boundaries between high and low culture, the products are designed by critically acclaimed, internationally recognized museum exhibiting contemporary artists who are fascinated by consumer culture.
Many of the designs, some of which are functional, are character based – inspired by comics and manga, cartoons and anime, graffiti and retro pop.
Pieces in the range include “Too Young to Die” Ashtray by Yoshitomo Nara; “Dogeyeguy” and “Cateyguy” by Kenny Scharf; “Flower Ball” by Takashi Murakimi; “Sad Ghost Salt and Pepper Shakers” by Marcel Dzama and “Bunny Rabbit Cookie Jars” by Momoyo Torimitsu.
Designs are limited edition and are distributed through designs stores and specialty retailers around Australia.
